Meet Lipscomb Elementary’s 2023-24 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Davila! Mrs. Davila is a 3rd Grade Math and Science Teacher and is currently entering her 18th year of education! And guess what? All 18 of those years were served right here at Lipscomb Elementary. We are proud to call her our very own homegrown talent.
Mrs. Davila’s education career began as a teacher assistant, but after her principal recognized her special gift for engaging students and building relationships, she was encouraged to get her teaching certification. Now, four years later, we crown her our TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
Mrs. Davila is a proud product of Dallas ISD, as a matter of fact, her roots run deep in Old East Dallas. Mrs. Davila attended Mt. Auburn Elementary, JL Long Middle School, and is a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School!
Mrs. Davila is the 3rd Grade Team Lead and known for her contagious positivity, “can do” attitude, and her growth mindset. She is empathetic, smiling, and eager to support her peers. Mrs. Davila has impacted generations of Lipscomb Lions by coaching our cheerleading squad, co-coaching our E Sports club, and developing the math readiness of our future global leaders.
